Smoking Ban in England

Am now well into my UK wide tour of cities and have experienced first hand the smoking ban in Wales and Scotland.
Whilst everything is remarkably civilised, and we do go home with clothes not reeking - it's rather odd that venues either smell rather cloyingly of disinfectant, or there's a faint whiff of body odour and cheap aftershave (depending on which venue you visit and how busy they are)...
It's certainly calmed my impending sense of panic (both as a smoker, but for different reasons as a supporter of venues) and I now realise that the end is not yet nigh on pubbing and clubbing!
