No we’re not talking Big Brothers imminent return (this has far fewer egos), but BBC2’s Springwatch. The reality TV show four million plus viewers can’t do without. It has it all. Life, love, death and 24 hour online webcam’s with not very much actually happening. Live! Was that a badger? Will Hannibal the owl eat his siblings again and is that really a Wildcat or just a very large mog? Where ever you stand with Springwatch; secretly addicted, disgusted with Oddie’s smutty innuendo’s (“That's a wing-trembler she's just had there”) or a just dipping in until Davina introduces human nature to our screens, this weekend the nations favourite nature show hits the road. Eight cities, Brighton, Bristol, Derby, Derry, Gateshead, Glasgow, Newcastle and Southampton will be providing breathing spaces for British wildlife. With farmers markets, local conservation projects and plenty of chances to check out the local flora and fauna the Springwatch festivals promise to be solar powered alterative entertainment for your weekend. And not a Bill Oddie X-Rated soundtrack to be heard. If the wildlife behaves of course. Springwatch Fairs
