Ok, so it may not have been the best weather for a beach party but I think we’ve all reached the point where we realised summer never really happened. Nevertheless, at the culmination of Bristol Pride Fringe week the weather and the fact the beach wasn’t real didn’t damped any spirits.

So if a spot of cloud-bathing wasn’t your thing, there was plenty of catching up with friends, munching on scrummy pies, dancing to the Bootylicious beats coming from the DJ hut and even a sedate game of boule going on. The lovely people from Terrence Higgins Trust were out in force to promote their advice and support services and to take donations at this free event.

Overall, it was a delightful jaunt to the beach and hopefully one to be repeated next year... if the beach and the sunshine make it back to Bristol that is!
