Happy Birthday CORE!...
review
It's starting to seem like this part of year is prime birthday time and for CORE at the Shilling it was no exception. Having seen the night go from strength to strength and proving to be one of the Shilling’s finest and most popular nights it certainly seemed fit for us to be there to capture the birthday celebrations. No birthday would of course be complete without a cake; taking pride of place on stage alongside the ever glamorous and ever outfit-changing, Madam Mayhem.
Packed to the rafters with regulars and students alike (now back and clearly eager for fun), the club looked and sounded as amazing as ever thanks to the hard work of Paul, Danny and the Shilling team. Just as we expected, Daniel Stone provided 9 hours of instant musical gratification aided by the expertise and overt talent of emerging Diva, Tonnic. As Tonnic performed from the surroundings of the crowded dancefloor, she displayed outstanding vocal brilliance, singing over the majority of the tracks Daniel selected and creating an atmosphere to rival any other big gay club night.
Therefore, it just leaves us to wish CORE a very happy birthday and long may the night prosper!!

The Queenshilling, or ‘Q/S’ as it’s affectionally known in these parts, has been an integral part of Bristol’s Gay scene for many years. Having recently benefited from a swanky refurbishment, the colour and style of the bustling bar area very much reflects the reputation the club upholds as the place to be out and be seen on the Bristol Gay scene.
