Miss Queenshilling...
review
Despite being on a tight schedule there was no way we could miss the Shilling’s very own beauty pageant, a Terrence Higgins Trust fundraiser and one of their biggest nights of the year! The time had finally come to crown another gorgeous specimen with the prestigious title, ‘Miss Queenshilling’!
An amazing display of womanhood (with an edge of celebrity style) took to the stage to be judged by an equally glamorous panel and an expectant and very vocally supportive crowd. Despite the striking presence of ‘Runaway Bride’ Lizzie and the trout pouted Emma “doing it for all the single mums out there”, this year’s title was awarded to the outstandingly uncanny Amy Winehouse - a true star... who even had her drunken debauchery just right!
What a fabulous night for such a worthwhile cause and a big well done to all who entered. Long may Amy reign and remain in rehab at the Queenshilling!

The Queenshilling, or ‘Q/S’ as it’s affectionally known in these parts, has been an integral part of Bristol’s Gay scene for many years. Having recently benefited from a swanky refurbishment, the colour and style of the bustling bar area very much reflects the reputation the club upholds as the place to be out and be seen on the Bristol Gay scene.
