review

Never one to pass up the opportunity of supporting a good cause, REALBristol headed down to Warehouse to see exactly what was meant by a night titled ‘Dancing for Drugs’- would people be handing out crack if you had the right moves?!

Of course not.

Tonight was about raising money and awareness in support universal access to HIV treatment and care by 2010, with all the money raised going to SPW India and the Stop AIDS Campaign. Organised by Bristol University’s ’Stop AIDS Society’, the night also proved that not only do students often fulfil their lazy, debaucherous stereotypes, but also are at the forefront of much of the charitable works undertaken in the city.

Having been treated to the agile talents of the FUZE dancers, together with the Unibreakers and the imaginatively titled Wellie Boots, the pros later left the floor and made room for a bit of Monday night movement. It may have been a school night but the students showed they’d do anything for a bit of benevolent bass.
