The Launch of SWITCH...
review
It felt like the Easter Bunny had arrived early tonight... bearing the gift of two nights in one!
This weekend yet another Saturday experience launched - adding to the Shilling’s already packed monthly calendar: SWITCH. And switch it did… the music, the décor, the DJ, the atmosphere… from white and pure to dark and dirty!
Throughout the night the exceedingly popular Amy Crackhouse was in attendance, doing what she does best - getting drunk and falling over. Stevie J started us off with a selection of chart and house to accompany the early eve and provided a suitable soundtrack for the first half (which even included a VIP champagne reception!). As the clock struck one, Peyton took to the stage, unleashing his vocal repertoire and buff body to a dance floor now fully in the throws of their holiday weekend. Who’d have thought such a piece of televisual totty hid such tuneful talents! And yes, he was a UK Queer eye… in case you were struggling to place him.
After the musical interlude the club was plunged into darkness and then came the switch; the lights, the look of the club and even the staff’s uniforms. It was time for Daniel Stone to take to the decks, darkening the mood with a fittingly funky and filthy electro/house set. Forget 2-4-1 drinks offers... 2-4-1 clubbing is clearly the way forward!

about Queenshilling
|
The Queenshilling, or ‘Q/S’ as it’s affectionally known in these parts, has been an integral part of Bristol’s Gay scene for many years. Having recently benefited from a swanky refurbishment, the colour and style of the bustling bar area very much reflects the reputation the club upholds as the place to be out and be seen on the Bristol Gay scene. The next Queenshilling date for your diary:
Saturday, 17th May
